Well, we made it! The most fun day of the year will be upon us this weekend!
I know you've still got lots of things to do, costumes to finish, treats and tricks to prepare for the big scare.....but make the most of it and HAVE FUN!
Maybe wrap things up on Sunday night with a Spooktacular dinner, after kids have collected all their treats and a few games of "Pin The Tail On The Dragon" and then break out the flashlights for a few rounds of "Ghosts In The Graveyard" !
I still have some cobwebs to hang, lady fingers to bake, and my witches brew is already simmering in the cauldron. And remember.... soon we need to start planning for next year!
But if you still need a few more last minute ideas, click here! Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

SPOOKY SPIDER
OK Halloweenies...it's cruch time and you still need a few more ideas to haunt your front yard for the big nite.
Greet party guests with this not-so-itsy-bitsy spider made from a milk jug and pipe insulation!
Materials
~Craft knife
~Gallon milk jug
~Black duct tape
~4 (6-foot) black foam pipe insulation tubes (1/2 inch diameter)
~2 plastic eggs
~Green tape
Instructions
1. Use a craft knife (parents only) to cut off the spout of the milk jug, then completely cover the jug with black duct tape.
2. To create the 8 legs, tape the center of each of the 4 pipe insulation tubes across the handle side of the jug.
3. Tape the tubes to the sides of the jug as well, to keep them bent.
4. With scissors, cut and remove a 1-inch-deep notch from the middle of each leg, then bend the insulation at the notches and tape the bent joints in place.
5. For eyes, stick black tape pupils on the 2 broader ends of a pair of plastic eggs. Tape the eyes in place on the jug. Finally, decorate the top of the spider body with green duct tape, and your oversize arachnid is ready to tape or tie in place on a front porch or door.

THE SPOOKTACULAR ART SHOW
Here's a recap of some of the fantastic art that was featured at the Spooktacular Art Show! I had such a positive response from some of my pieces that I'm working on a collection for sale! (More details on that later!)
But the Spookiest day of the year will soon be upon us, and there's still so much to do!

GETTING READY FOR THE ART SHOW
I'm putting the finishing touches on some of my pieces for the Spooktacular Art Show tomorrow!
I've been pretty busy today, and am really looking forward to the show. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures to post, and I can't wait to see all of the amazing works of art.
It really is going to be SPOOKTACULAR!

HALLOWEEN PRESENTS!
The in-laws came to visit the Manor for a few days, and they brought Halloween presents! Here are a few of the goodies..... but I can't help but wonder why they always bring me a "witch". I wonder what that means?

LET'S GET CRAFTY!
I love looking at all of the seasonal fabrics when they come in the craft stores, because I get inspired to make new pillows, tablecloths and whatever I can stitch together!
I found this pretty cool fabric design that I thought would go great as a table runner and pillow combo for in the living room. All the materials cost me about $12 and I had the look completed in one afternoon! Check it out!

REST IN PEACE
Here lies the final resting place for Percy The Pumpkin. Think it might scare off those pesky door to door salesmen? **Bwah-hahahaha*!
THE GREAT PUMPKIN
Well as you all know, I just looooooove pumpkins! Usually I love doing a cute and crafty pumpkin to sit on the front step.....but this year, I decided that I was going to go a bit more scary and wanted to have a ZOMBIE PUMPKIN to greet the guests who show up at the Manor.
Let the carving begin!

MY LITTLE BAGS OF TRICKS
Here's one of my latest projects, this one of a fashion nature. I made my own designer handbag! I got the black bag from Michael's for a dollar (no kidding!) and some sparkly accents, and just ironed it on the bag, So easy it only took about 20 minutes..... fabulous!

I'M BAAAAACK.....
Sorry for not posting in quite a while...so many things needed my immediate attention, and the hubby and I made a few changes at work. (We decided to move on to a better opportunity! Yay for us!) Thanks for the concerned e mails and for being very patient! More news on our return to the airwaves coming soon! (More yay for us!)
But since then.... I've decided to take some much needed time off (sent the hubby off to get started ahead of me....hehehe) and I've been giving the Mansion the Halloween Holiday Makeover!
Here's some recent pics of what I've been up to......

THE MANOR GETS A MAKEOVER
The boxes are getting unpacked and the cauldrons have been working overtime to be ready for October 1st! I started by giving the Manor a good cleaning, and got some of my decorations out of the workshop, and on the walls and shelves.
The plan is to get the inside done today, and get the outside done by Friday! I'll keep you posted on the progress.

BABY LADYBUG
What a little, itty-bitty cutie, baby ladybug! I get lots of requests for original ideas for toddler costumes, and I think this one is tops in my book!
If you're not a real seamstress (me either!) just get a few supplies to complete the look. A black sweatshirt, knit hat, black fuzzy socks, some black pipe cleaners, and felt. Swing by the craft store and pick up some fairy wings and attach to a red toddler fleece. Sew pipe cleaners to the hat and sew on black felt "spots".
Adjust your pattern accordingly (if you want to attach the black socks or not) or just by copy the design from the picture.
Everyone will think you're one crafty mama!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
What a great day in t.v. history, The Munsters premiered on CBS in 1964! In honor of my all-time favorite t.v. show, I think I'm going to break out the dvd's and have a Munsters Marathon today!
